Sakura Ceramic bowl

Description:

Sakura Ceramic bowl

Repeated layers burned in by a temperature og 270°C, dusted with kanshitsu dry lacquer powder and burned in, over lacquered and burned in. After ground has reached the design I wanted, some cherry blossoms have been built up in "takamaki" high relief. The blossoms have been built in Kijiomi lacquer nixed with copper powder and every layer heated in the oven at 180°C. Finally the out side and inside apllied with a thin layer of kijiomi lacquer and copper dusted then also hardened in the oven by 180°C. Finally a thin layer of Nashiji lacquer als dried at a temperature of 180°C. "Sakura" cherry blossoms are a symbol for spring but despite the colors of the bowl are not spring colors I thought cherry blossoms match the overall design
